Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Ready for more painting

Pretty chilly out there this morning on my walk. Temperature was 16. I changed one of my layers from a short sleeve tee shirt to a sweatshirt. I felt like a roly poly with so many layers on. If I had fallen I wouldn't have been able to get up like the kid from The Christmas Story!! :-) Funny thing was I was too warm and was actually sweating!! The only thing that was cold was my face. I always bring tissues with me because I get a runny nose when it's cold and my tissue froze!! I walked my usual 6 miles around the lake. Surprisingly there were quite a few people out there walking. I stopped to talk to Barbara. She is one of the people who I usually see in all kinds of weather and is the first person I talked to walking when we first moved here.
I've seen this Canadian Geese here almost from the first time I walked around the lake. I can tell its the same one because of his messed up wing. It doesn't seem bother him.
Here's what the sky looked like this morning.
Later on when the sun was up the sky had lots of little white clouds that looked like cotton balls. I've posted that picture on my photo blog if you care to take a look at it.
Sunrise was 7:17.
Sunset will be at 5:25

I ended up waiting for Ken to come home from work last night before eating. We had supper at 8:45!! No snack because we ate so late. Ken did try one of those Raspberry Chocolate Chippers though and declared that it was his favorite now!

Since tomorrow is painting day again I've taken all the books out of the bookcases and have them stacked up all over the place. I moved the small pieces of furniture and other small things away from the wall. I removed the outlet and switch plates off the wall and took the pictures down.
This evening Ken and I will move the bookcases away from the wall, undo the television and the stuff that goes along with that. Then he will do the taping and we will be ready to get started right after my walk tomorrow with the painting. I think it will go fairly quickly.

Did the usual chores around the house and now here I am at the computer.
When I'm done here, I'll either read or knit until Ken comes home from work. Since its Friday maybe he'll get to leave on time. Planning on eating at home but I can always be talked into eating out! :-)

Happyone :-)

Kudos to you for walking in that kind of weather. It was 4 at my house this morning...even my little dog didn't want to stay out.

Now that is cold if your tissue froze. I really give you credit for getting out there. I felt like I was doing good to get on the treadmill today. LOL.
Enjoy your painting weekend. I hope we get to see your work again.
