Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

House of Nuts

The weather was back to normal with temperatures in the 30's this morning. I walked around the lake and walked 6.2 miles. Lots of people out walking today as well as all the deer, rabbits, and the geese were flying around making their usual racket. I saw a few cardinals and heard a woodpecker. A busy early morning.
A morning picture.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We found some switch plates and outlets that we liked last night at Lowes. Checked out Home Depot too but ended up going back to Lowes. This morning I put them up.Then moved the furniture and other things all back in place.
A few more pictures.Kenny gave me the secretary desk for our anniversary one year. Debbi (daughter) painted the two pictures for me that are above the desk. :-) That one little spot between the two chair rails isn't painted yet because tape was there. We'll touch that up this weekend when we paint the other two walls.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I headed out late this morning and went for the first time to a store called, Ann's House of Nuts. What a cool store!! It is packed full of nuts, dried fruits, candy, and all that goes with it. I walked around and wanted to buy just about everything I saw. Took a quick picture inside the store when no one was looking!I ended up coming home with these goodies. Mint chocolate chips and Raspberry chips. I bet they will be good in the chocolate chip cookies that I make. I got some peanuts and cashew nuts. Raisins are in one of the bags the back and the other one is filled with graham squares. What I call Valentine hearts I see now are called conversation hearts. I had a very small sampling from each bag when I got home.
Dropped off two library books that are due and I DID NOT check out any more. I only read one of the books, started the other but didn't like it. I have two more library books to read and then I'll read some of my own books. At least one anyway. :-) Started reading of the library books this afternoon.
Tuesday is turning out to be one fine day for me and I hope it is for you too.
Happyone :-)
Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.
Your paint colors look very nice! Great job! Does it feel more like home now? =) I know you and I have the same opinion about contractor white walls. LOL!
Looks like some fabulous yummies from the nut shop. =9
Like the switchplates...they certainly have more presence and I like the sweet little primitives that your daughter painted for you. It's looking wonderful and must be a great joy for you both to see it all come together so nicely.
The switch plates look much nicer than the builder plastic ones. Your daughter is talented (wonder where she gets that from :)
That stores looks like it would be a lot of fun.
We've been to a House of Nuts in Franklin, North Carolina, that looks very similar to the one you visited. We can always find some goodies to bring home. Your living room really looks great.
