Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tiny Hats

The rain didn't hold off for me today like yesterday. I had a 6.6 mile walk in the rain all decked out in my rain gear. Just walked on the streets today, no paths only sidewalks. I walked down one road turned left and walked to the end and then turned around here and walked back home. Only a couple of people out walking and I didn't see anyone I knew. I found a lucky penny. :-)

My parents are coming for Thanksgiving and today I got the room they will be staying in straightened up. I put all the totes in the closet and got the inflatable mattresses ready for them. They will be bringing sleeping bags to put on the mattresses. Its a good thing they are in good shape. I don't think many 79 year olds would be comfortable sleeping on the floor. :-) I am happy to say they are both in great shape!!

My friend Bonnie has a project started called 1000 booties 500 hats. Check out her website and if you like to knit maybe you would like to help her in this project.
Here is the first hat I've made for her. I have it on my hand so you can see how tiny it is. Isn't it the cutest little thing!!?
Out for dinner again with Kenny. This time we went to Mimi's Cafe and had chicken pot pies. A good choice for a wet cold evening.
We are going to watch a program on MPT later about dreams.
No snack tonight - I ate all of my pot pie!!

I hope your Tuesday was a happy day for you.
Karen :-)
Its not how much you'd be giving
if a million should fall to your lot.
but what you are doing today
with the buck and a quarter you've got.

Have fun with your parents. Great to be 79 years young and in great shape.

I started knitting a couple little hats for Bonnie, but she just called and asked me, no - begged me, no - implored me, not to do this. Art :)

Diane, you can find the pattern on Bonnie's website click on website on my blog.
Then click on Preemie Project.
Next click on Patterns on the right under Volunteer.
Next under Knit Patterns, Hats and Booties click on Basic Knit Hat (4th on the list)
That's the pattern I used. I made the smallest size.
There are other patterns listed there too that you could make.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your folks. I know you'll love being with them. And thank you for the little hat link. It wouldn't take long to make a few, that's for sure.
