This past weekend was one of sunny days and happy times. Mid Saturday morning we headed up I95 and 2 1/2 hours later we were in Mt Holly at David's house. Good to see him, Kim and our two grandkids, Scout and Japhy. We all enjoyed a walk around town in the nice weather and had pizza for lunch in their favorite pizza place. A stop and a sit on the bench for some picture taking. Me, Japhy, Scout, Ken.The ride there and back home went well - not too many crazy drivers and traffic moved along at a good pace. LOTS of cops out and we saw a lot stopped giving people tickets.
Sunday afternoon Ken and I went to the movies again. This time we saw 2012 which we really liked. It's a long movie, about 2 hours and 20 minutes but it seemed to go by in no time at all. What an action packed non stop movie!! If you like adventure this is for you. There are also some parts that get you thinking about things which is always good too. I'm glad we went to see it.
The nice sunny days have come to and end and today we have lots of clouds and its supposed to rain though it hasn't started yet. That is good because I got to take my walk this morning in dry weather. :-) I walked around the lake and I got to talking to a fellow walker and kept walking so I walked a bit farther than usual. I walked 7.2 miles which was 14,848 steps.
I took this picture which is at the far side of the lake from my house. I'm standing on a bridge. Down this end is the Wildlife Management Area where no fishing is allowed and no boats. There are a few signs like this one around to remind us.Finished reading The Cat Who Saw A Cardinal by Lilian Jackson Braun, another in the cat series. I liked this one too as well as all the others in the series.Stayed home so far today and don't plan on going anywhere either for the rest of the day. I'll do some cleaning, knitting, and of course start another book.
I hope the beginning of your week is going well. It will be a short one for many with Thanksgiving on Thursday.
And now before I start doing anything else I'm going to have some lunch and then get caught up on all of your blogs. I've gotten a bit behind this weekend and we all now how fast that happens.
Karen :-)

Glad you had a fun weekend. A visit with the grandchildren is always special. My granddaughter is so far away!
I'm glad you had such a nice weekend with good sunny weather for traveling about. Hope you have a good week and Happy Thanksgiving.
Lovely picture you all sitting on the bench.
Yes I guess soon I will see the movie 2012, I wonder how many people believe it will really happen.
We don't have Thanksgiving here so probably it's gonna be a long week.
Glad you had a nice visit in NJ. I love the photo, too!
What a nice picture of you both and the children, sounds like you had a very special time.
What a nice family photo. Your grandchildren are adorable. Did they get their new slippers on this visit?
I'm sure my husband will want to see this movie as he likes action and adventure. We went to see The Blind Side this weekend and loved it.
Have a great day.
Loved the photograph of you with your grandchildren! Perfect! I always enjoy hearing how far you've walked--it's just wonderful, Karen!
Sounds like a wonderful "family" day! I'm happy for you!
I want to see 2012 this weekend :)
I was happy to see this picture. Glad things are going well and you had this visit. Miss you!
I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed 2012...since we are going to see it with a group of friends in the near future. A guy from our care group worked on the set...and so we always call it 'his movie'...and are all going to see it.
