Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Nature Walk

A beautiful cool morning for my walk today. When I first started out I was actually a little chilly.
I took these pictures of some of the wildlife I encountered this morning along the paths.
A white caterpillar
Deer
Two Baby Deer
I guess this is a crayfish, but don't they live in water? No water near where I took the picture though.

Newly whitened cross walks are showing up in places. Must be getting ready for back to school. Maybe people will actually stop for you now with them looking so new and white! Well, SOME people do stop and thanks to all of you who do.

My blocked street. I have to turn right at the street on the right here. I'm glad I was walking by.

What gorgeous weather we are having today. Sunny and low humidity. I stayed home, but didn't get much done except for laundry which was perfect for hanging out the line.

I spent some time on the deck reading and knitting and just enjoying the weather.

I hope your Friday was filled with sunshine too.
Happyone :-)

Wow, that's a lot of townhouses! That speaks well for the economy in your area. :)

Looks like it was a great day for wildlife viewing. The deer are probably enjoying the cooler morning temperatures.

I spent my day playing with the baby. I should have taken her outside to enjoy the weather.

A white caterpillar!! How unusual. And that does look like a crawfish. How bizarre!

What a wonderful stroll with Mother Nature. I love your photos, my friend. The wee caterpillar, the majestic looking deer, and the crayfish - a beautiful array of sights to enjoy.

Now I see what you mean about your blocked street. That must be so frustrating at times. I'm happy you have a Nature walk to escape to.

Thanks for sharing!

Interesting photos from your walk. I love seeing fawns also. And that crawfish...that is a bit odd.

Very interesting nature pictures. That is one weird caterpillar and the fawns are so sweet. And as for the crayfish, I wouldn't like to come across that while wearing my summer footwear - flip-flops.

So unusual to see a crayfish far from water! I wonder if a bird dropped it? Mybe it escaped from someone's groceries?
