Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

I am thankful

Started the day out as usual with a walk. I went around the lake today.
Here is a view of the lake I walk around. I usually arrive at the lake from the path on the right hand side where it says 108 StateR.I am thankful to have all the wonderful paths to walk on and this lake to walk around.

My food cupboards were getting pretty bare looking so it was time to make up a shopping list and go to the commissary. Shelves were well stocked and no lines which makes a perfect trip to the commissary. Once home I put everything away where it belongs and we now have a full pantry again. I always get a good feeling when that is done.
I am thankful for a pantry stocked with food. :-)

Here's what it's like looking out of the front windows of my house today as this truck gets loaded up with dirt. The truck driver is a woman - the first one I've seen on this job.
This picture is out of the living room window.
These two from our upstairs bedroom.
It's always fun to look out the windows and watch the work being done.
I am thankful that my house is finished and I'm happy living here.

I read some more of my book and it really is good.
I am thankful for Mrs Claxton, my first grade teacher who taught me to read.

I made spinach and bean soup for supper and since it always tastes better the next day we went out to Subway for a sandwich and will eat the soup tomorrow.
I am thankful to have a husband who is happy with whatever we eat for dinner. Who will eat at home or go out to eat if I don't feel like cooking. :-)

Hope all is well in your world and that you are happy today.
Happyone :-)
I am thankful for all my blogger friends!!

The grass might look greener on the other side,
But is still needs to be mowed.

I'm happy for the gorgeous days with which we've been blessed, for my beautiful daughters, my son, and my amazing grand daughters.

I like your new blog template and especially like the header shot. Very pretty! I'm behind in reading posts but hope to get back at it soon. Still catching up from being gone for six weeks. I'm happy that tonight I finished a project that was extremely frustrating and stressful!

I'm happy you're my friend and that you take such pleasure in the simple things in life. That's really what it's all about.

I'm also happy for gorgeous days which make it a pleasure to be outdoors and for my beautiful bride who makes any day gorgeous! I like your greener grass note. I need to remember that.

I like watching construction as well... for some reason I find it almost therapeutic and I don't know why... scooping up dirt, dumping it into trucks, pushing piles around... it's kind of fun.
When I was a little girl,I remember my sister and I playing in the dirt with trucks and tractors so maybe I wanted to be a truck or tractor driver too!

Boy, those house have come a long way from the last time I was here. It's interesting to watch building being constructed, kind of like putting big puzzles together.
