Here we go again - another rainy day. Walked in a misty rain this morning.
Looked like it was going to clear but it never did.
By late afternoon rain was falling again!!
I worked some on the counted cross stitch.
I find I cannot sit and do that for long periods of time like I used to.
My eyes aren't what they used to be.
I have a pair of strong magnifying glasses that I wear but after a while I get a headache and have to quit for a while.
It doesn't help that this project is done on 16 count either.
I can manage though if I just do an hour at a time.
I still don't have enough done on it to post a picture, but I will one of these days.
Taryn (granddaughter) needed a ride to work this afternoon so I dropped by and picked her up and off to work she went. It's nice to have a little time with her. She still loves her job and really like those tips! :-)
I was looking out the front window early this evening and saw a Heron fly by - how cool is that!! Then walked to the back and looked out the window and saw four Canada geese fly by all in a row!! They must have been on their way to the lake.
Last night we watched Bramwell and that finished up all 4 seasons and the series. This was the series about a woman doctor in England who opens up a hospital for the poor. It was very good except for the last two episodes which were season 4. I didn't like the ending to it at all!!!! They should have ended the whole series with season 3!
Tonight we watched A Touch of Frost while having ice cream for our snack.
I did some knitting on the ripple afghan and now I'll read for a while.
A wet Tuesday but I'm happy it isn't snow and ice.
I hope you found some bits of happiness scattered throughout your day!
Happyone :-)

I met Taryn last week and saw her again yesterday -- such a sweet girl! She seems very happy in her new job.
Well the sun is out right now -- who knows how long that will last! We'll see.
We have had a wet week here too. I'm so glad I got my flowers planted on Sunday as I'm sure they are benefitting from the rain.
Glad to hear you granddaughter is still enjoying her job.
Have a great day.
We are on day two of rain and I am already tired of it. So, I can imagine how old this is getting for you!
I have the same problem doing needlework anymore. I have the stronger glasses, but get headaches in short order. Good that you have figured out your time limit. I wait until I get a headache and a backache. =D
Don't think that I've ever seen a heron in flight, but I sure would like to. That must've been pretty cool.
Taryn's blessed to have a grandmother on call. I know that my kids have always been.
I netflixed the Ides of May that you talked about a while ago, Really intersting series. The writing sure was different even for a british show. It was fun to see - oh what is her name! - the zeta jones woman - anyway - she was SO young!
