Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

This morning there was no fog but it was cloudy. I walked my usual 6 miles today walking on one of the paths which came out on Gray Rock and then I walked on the roads looking at all the different gardens.
I took pictures of different color Iris
and made this collage of them.I don't know the name of this bush
but I thought it was pretty.
A close up of it.

After making pancakes with syrup and whipped cream for breakfast, we went out and about for a while. One of the places we went was up to Bowie to an antique shop which sells some of the Polish Pottery that I like so much.
I got this a fork and a spoon
and we bought these large keys on a ring.
Ken is going to make a wind chime out of them.
The fork and spoon I hung up on the wall by the window under the cookie cutters which are hung up over the sink.
We stopped by the house and Ken got the weed wacker working for me so I can trim the yard up this week. He did a bit of the trimming today just to make sure it was working good. :-)
While we were there we brought back this old metal wheel
that Ken painted black.

We were going to hang it from the ceiling in the kitchen and hang all my old kitchen utensils from it but decided not to and now I'm not sure what I want to do with it.
I took a picture of this little squirrel
taking a rest along the top of the fence.
The day stayed mostly cloudy with some sun and also a rain shower or two thrown in.
A House of Eliott DVD came in the mail today from Netflix so we will be watching that later on.
Hope your Saturday was full of sunshine and all is well in your part of the world.
Happyone :-)

Oh boy! You and I were thinking a little alike this evening. I love that iris mosaic...how beautiful is that?! That iron wheel would look great mounted on a wall somewhere...you have lots of wall.

Such a pretty mosaic of irises you created. They are such a pretty flower. The shrub is very interesting. I don't think I have seen one like it.
We've had a mixture of rain and sun today. It didn't stop me from spending several hours in the garden so that made for a happy day here.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

We started and ended the day with rain, but there was some sunshine in the middle. Hopefully we will dry out tomorrow. I like the collage you made of the iris -- they're all beautiful.

I meant to tell you there's a store, Covenant Cottage in Gambrills, that has a lot of beautiful Polish Pottery. It's right next to the farm supply store. You should come out my way and check them out. Maybe together?

Really wanted to work outside today, but just not to be...It's okay, though, as I'm cooking a brisket. The house smells wonderful!
