Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another day at home

Another cloudy morning with a few light showers during my walk. Almost brought along the umbrella but it was on the warm side and I thought if I got wet it would feel good and cool me off. I just got a bit damp. I snapped this picture of a deer in someones back yard having a bite to eat. I finished ready Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, the fourth and last book in the twilight series. I thought it was good though a very long book which ran on at times a bit and I feel could have been shorted considerably. I thought the ending was good. Of all four books I thought the first one Twilight, was the best of them by far. I enjoyed another quiet day at home. Cleaned a little, read a little and cross stitched a little. My son David was on the way to DC to visit a friend and surprised me with a visit. He stayed a couple of hours. :-) I love those pop in visits!! He left with a bag of chocolate chip cookies. We had supper at Five Guys. Love those French fries!! We watched Bramwell, had ice cream and I knitted. So ends this Friday - hope yours was a sunshine kind of day. Happyone :-)

I was going to say...is that your backyard already looking so beautifully groomed, but then read closer. How are "yards" handled in your new home?

You sure see a lot of deer in your corner. More than I see in mine that's for sure.

Happy May Happyone! I thought I would stop by and say hi. I've been too busy last week getting ready for my race trip to Nashville with my team, then doing the trip, getting home, getting back in to work, etc. to do much blogging or looking at blogs but now have enjoyed catching up on yours. I just wanted to say enjoy the day! Art
