Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another beautiful sunny

morning though it was only 40 degrees as I walked on my "connect the path" route. I passed by a deer that was right next to me on the sidewalk about 6 feet away. It just stood there as I walked by!!! I've never been so close to one before! In fact it was a little scary.

I usually save French toast or pancakes for breakfast for the weekends but I was extra hungry this morning so I made myself French toast!! Yummy!

Made up a shopping list and headed out to the commissary. Not many people picked this day to go shopping. No lines and I was in and out in no time. I even remembered to bring my green shopping bags. :-) I read somewhere that Wednesday was the best day to go. I don't usually have a special day of the week to go. Do you?

Home to unload the groceries, put everything away, have a bite to eat, play around on the computer a bit and then I went to pick up Taryn and dropped her off at work.

Home once again and I watched the builders working on the houses across the street. They have no fear of heights and It scares me to watch them walk around on the top like this. I took the picture out of my bedroom window. I'll see them walking around on the fourth floor too in the next day or so.

I sat out on the deck late this afternoon and knitted for a little while.

My snack tonight was different than usual - I had a blueberry muffin from Mimi's Cafe.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and you found lots to smile about today.
Happyone :-)

I'd be fascinated by the building process too!

Stop in anytime to say hi when you're in the salon, OK?

I don't think I've got enough courage to be a builder. I get up on the roof of the house when necessary, but I get nervous about it every time.
Wednesday is our favorite shopping day because that's when Kroger has a Senior Discount.

Scary...I'll say. I've seen those photos of what deer can do. Guess she trusts you completely even if you are a little wary of her.

We went grocery shopping today also. It seems that Wednesday is a pretty good day for it...no lines, no waiting.

Oh, to be that close to a deer! That is a happy moment.

My hubby and I experienced a similar moment a few weeks ago while we were staying in Jasper, Alberta. We went for a walk in the woods near the hotel we were staying at, and came across a small group of deer sitting in a clearing, chewing their cud. They looked at us and we looked at them. It was such a treat!

I am still thinking about the comment you left me regarding the snake on your cookie cutters. Oh, you are a brave lady. I have heard that the black snakes are the "good" ones, but they still give me the willies.

I don't really have a regular grocery shopping day. I pretty much go when the need strikes.

Love the sounds of your snack!!

It is amazing how they can just walk around like that and not be afraid. I guess when they start to be afraid is when it's time to quit!

Hi

Amazing how fast they build those houses. Not so high now but high enough, lol.
Nice weekend.
