Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A surprise visit from David

As usual I started my day with a walk. Today I went around the lake.
This is the first azalea bush I've seen blooming.
Our son David surprised me this morning with a visit. We had breakfast and a nice chat and then he left to spend time at his sister's house. I spent the rest of the morning doing some house cleaning, had some lunch, then did a little more house cleaning and then read a little bit. David came back here supper time and I made tuna casserole for supper. That has always been his favorite dinner! :-) When he was little he would say if he was ever on death row his last meal would be my mom's tuna casserole. :-) The three of us just sat around talking for hours after supper and and then he left to go back to NJ. It was so nice to see him and spend some time together. I hope you had a happy Friday. Happyone :-)

It sounds as if you had a wonderful visit with your son. Obviously nothing can compete with Mom's cooking. I like the picture you got of the beautiful azalea. We're going to have to wait a couple more weeks for ours to bloom.

Aww, I am so glad that you got to share some special time with David! What a nice surprise indeed!
I love tuna casserole as well, but don't make it often as hubby is not a fan of tuna...
Happy Easter!

Hugs♥

That azalea is gorgeous. I'm waiting for mine to open.
That is so funny what your son said about your tuna casserole. You know that recipe is a keeper when they like it that much. How nice for your son to surprise you with a visit.

Well now, that boy's easy to please! Are you sharing your tuna casserole recipe? I'll have to peek at your recipe file.

Beautiful azalea...gives me hope.

That sounds like a great day. I saw my first azalea in bloom yesterday and so many other flowering things that it was like candy for they eyes. I took about 30 photos during my 13 mile training run, and could have easily taken 100 more. Everything was so beautiful!

Strawberries and whipped cream on top of pancakes sounds wonderful. I'll have to try that some day.
Glad you were able to visit with your son. Happy Easter!
