Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Chocolate chocolate chip

When I'm out walking along the path once in a while I see a glove or mitten or a hat hanging on a branch of a tree. People find these items and then hang them up so the people that lost it will be able to find it. Today I saw something a little different. It appears someone has lost their key. I blurred out the phone number. I bought some more stamps for the Christmas cards today plus some other stamps that caught my fancy for future cards. I worked some more on the cards. I'm starting to dream about these cards now. Next year I'm going to start making them in July!! Last week I mentioned that some one should make chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. Thanks to one of my blogging buddies, Ruta I learned that some one does indeed make the flavor. I bought some earlier this evening and tried some. I was very surprised to find that I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I prefer the chocolate chip. When there is chocolate ice cream and chocolate chips the chocolate competes with itself and I can't really taste the chips. The cold ice cream tastes nice and chocolaty but the chocolate chips have no taste to them. Now with the vanilla ice cream I taste that flavor and the chocolate chips taste nice and chocolaty. So I guess that is why chocolate chocolate chip ice cream isn't that popular. It's not quite time for bed yet so I'm going to read for a while. I hope this Tuesday was a Happy One for you.

I think I agree with you -- vanilla ice cream goes better with chocolate chips. I know what you mean about starting Christmas projects in July. I'm in the process of converting Christmas phonograph records to CD and I started the first of August. (I'm still not done).

What a shame about the ice cream, although I like chocolate I'm not that keen on chocolate ice cream. I stopped using chocolate chips in my baking when I realised that supermarket'own brand value' chocolate was half the price and my chocolate chunk cake is a firm favourite with all the youngsters that come to my house. Today I'm experimenting with grapes and strawberries dipped in white and milk chocolate as my contribution to our WI Christmas supper. It's chocolate season at work and after eating 2 chocolates in the afternoon I upped the sit-ups to 401! It takes less than 1/2 an hour and I can watch the news or a soap at the same time and gives me an immense sense of achievement. It's soft rain outside so I'm going to try and finish those cookies I started on Monday and if it's still raining I'll just wrap up and get on with the outdoor jobs. I'm almost sorted for Christmas, all cards and parcels sent last week, most presents bought and wrapped, a 10lb turkey breast roll in the freezer, cake baked and a store of goodies accumulating for the descendinhg hoards. There's just the small! matter of tidying up the house. You run out of places to hide stuff when every bedroom is full. Happy Christmas Preparations.
