Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Emissions Test

The last couple of mornings have once again been perfect weather for walking and I walked more than 6 miles both days. I have been seeing lots of deer and the other day I saw the Heron down by the water again. It's been a while since I've seen him.
Here is the sun rising this first day of Fall morning.
It was a Meals on Wheels day for me. I'm back to doing only Monday's again or if they need a sub. Ed who I have been subbing for on Friday's since April is now back. Only my regular 4 people to deliver to today and they are all fine and doing well. Today I was driving down a road in a quiet neighborhood going a reasonable 30 miles an hour in a 25 mile zone. Two old men were on the side of the road talking. One of the men made a sign with his hands for me to slow down. I just ignored him because I wasn't even going fast. On the way back the same two men were still there. Again he made a sign for me to slow down. Only this time I really felt like flippin him off - instead as I passed by them I just pushed the gas pedal down and took off. He just stood there shaking his head. After MOW I took my car for it's emissions test. Here in Maryland we have to take our cars every two years. I got on line behind two other cars and was in and out in no time. I took these two pictures of my car while I had to wait inside a long glass booth.
Here's my car at the start.
And here she is at the end.
Passed for another two years. We have been trying to find a couple more shows from Netflix to watch. Tried watching Enterprise but didn't like it. The time is set before Captain Kirk. Tried Nip and Tuck - didn't even get past the first show and Weeds didn't do it for me either. We had seen a couple of seasons of Six Feet Under and I like that alright. We have just started season 3. A show I think my daughter liked was Veronica Mars so we got that one to try and that is one I like. We have just seen the very first episode. We let our BJ's card expire and now we have joined Costco. Yesterday we walked around there just looking. Could have bought a whole bunch of stuff that we didn't need but walked out empty handed. I know it's just another big warehouse like BJ's but I like Costco better. Kenny trimmed my hair for me this evening - just took a couple of inches off the ends. My gray is really growing in now. I'll have to get him to take a picture so you can see it. I am going to go and read for a while, then watch a Veronica episode and tonight I'll have some ice cream for my snack. Yup, you guessed it - chocolate chip. :-) Hope you all are having a great Monday.

It was beautiful yesterday. And, I saw a fox trying to cross the road on an exit ramp. He was confused and kept going back and forth across the road. He seemed young. All the traffic stopped.

I have to get my emission test done too. Small world, again.

Today was another great day for a walk. I hope the rest of your day is happy!

The thought of you flipping someone off is totally cracking me up. It seems out of character but maybe it's just a side I haven't seen.

Hope your having a great day!

Sounds like you are busy as usual. Funny about the old men by the road!
