49 degrees this morning and cloudy for walking.
Sunrise 6:47
Saw a couple of rabbits run across the street on my way to town.
Just about light now when I get to town and the street
lights are just blinking off.
Started my walk going around both the cemeteries,
the new road and ball park.
Reflection in the pond.
Walking around the ball park I noticed one of the chicken
laying in the little hole in the dirt.
At first I though she was hurt because she was moving her wing funny.
This is going to sound funny but I called the other chickens
and told them to check on their friend.
They actually came over and that's when the chicken got up and looked fine.
I'm wondering if she was making a nest there?
I was surprised to see that the roof job on the church was already done.
Usually things take a long time to get done around here.
They even worked on it yesterday (Sunday)
which I thought strange working on Sunday on a church.
It was delightful being out and walking early this morning.
No others were about.
I did see KitKat though.
Haven't seen him in a while.
Didn't see him at first and he came running over to me.

Monday, so got the sheets washed and hung out on the line,
plus another load.
Today I baked a Cheese Cake, Ken's favorite.
I was knitting on my blue throw blanket and noticed a couple
of rows back that I made a mistake.
I could have left it in and no one would have noticed but
it bothered me so I back tracked a couple of rows.
Then knitted and caught up to where I was.
That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
HappyK🙂❤️
I watch my wife knitting,
and it's like watching close-up magic to me.

Your reflection photo is gorgeous! You are the Chicken Whisperer!! They actually listen to you! My first thought was that the chicken wanted a nest to lay eggs.
Lovely photos, Karen. And your cheesecake 😋 sounds delicious.
Jaaa, chickens make little holes in the ground, lie down in them, and move their wings in funny ways to get dust between their feathers. It helps keep their feathers clean and gets rid of parasites. So she wasn't building a nest, just having a bath without water! 🐔😊
Your reflection in the pond photograph is beautiful.
All the best Jan
