Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in the dark

It was cloudy this morning when I walked.
44 degrees, (20 degrees colder than yesterday)
cloudy, windy and sunrise was 7:29.

Walked all around town in the dark.

When it got light enough

I continued to the ball park and around there.
Then the new road loop,
and finally the upper cemetery.

Saw Rebecca out walking 2 different times.

No chickens out this time, all still in their coop probably keeping warm.

Didn't walk over to the long barn but I heard the cows mooing loudly.
They must be protesting having to be in the barn after
roaming around the pastures all summer.

Lots of activity at the church as they get ready for their
yearly bazaar being held today.
There is food, crafts, and donated yard sale type items.
(No, we didn't go)

🙂    ☁️    🍁

🧶Stitching morning at the library so headed over there after breakfast.
There were 5 of us there this week.
(3 of the regulars were working at the bazaar)
I've started knitting a shawl.
Easy with no counting which is good for knitting and talking
at the same time. 🙂
Picked up a DVD for Ken.
Trying a new series, hope it's better than the last couple we picked out.
The book club book was there for me too for next month.
The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau
by Kristin Harmel.

After lunch Ken and I went to the dump to get rid of our garbage
and then stopped in at the Shop and Save to pick up a few things
to tide us over till Tuesday.
We never did make it out for food shopping this past week.

Continued knitting this afternoon and also read a little.
Turned out to be a sunny day and the temperature stayed in the 40's.

Hope you had a wonderful Saturday.
Always thankful for your visits and comments.
HappyK🙂❤️

I watch too many true crime documentaries - I'd never walk in the dark around town.
