Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Outside this afternoon

Another cold clear morning with lots of stars.
33 degrees and calm.

Me and my shadow.

Walked all over town and up and down all the side streets.

Continued up to the cemetery.
Then over to the long barn.
The cows are back inside now.
They all started mooing when I arrived and made quite a racket.
These came over to me first

and then all of them came along.

I'm sure they thought I was bringing them hay.

That came a little later when the tractor took some from
here and brought it to them.

Rebecca was out walking Leo.
Saw them on my way down from the cemetery and they
were headed up that way.

🙂    🥾    🐄

Another load of laundry out to dry this morning.
Then I baked some Chocolate Chippers.

Did a very thorough dusting of the living room.

A beautiful sunny day in the 60's.
After lunch we went outside.

I picked up dead branches that the wind had taken down
and put them on the brush fence that I'm making.

Ken emptied the dirt out of our raised garden bed boxes
and moved them because they need some repair work.
You might remember that during the summer one side of one
collapsed because it rotted out.

Late afternoon I still had a little time to do a little reading.

That's all for today.
Hope you had a sunshiny day.
Thanks for coming by.
HappyK🙂❤️

Love the photo of the blue sky through the trees. The colored leaves really stand out against that sky
