Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cloud

The rain stopped just as I was leaving the house this morning.
There was a mix of sun and clouds when I walked.
65 degrees.
Sunrise 6:23

Went walking around the cemeteries first.

A walk down to the long barn revealed that all the cows are gone.
Thinking that the barn is going to get cleaned out and ready
for the cows later this year.

Headed back to the cemetery down this way.

From the cemeteries I walked over to the ball park and walked around there.
Continued up and down side streets on my way back to the pond.

Anna and Mark were out walking again.

As I left for the library this morning for Stitching
it started raining and boy did it rain.
Came down in sheets.
I waited in the Jeep in the parking lot till it let up and then
ran into the library.
A half hour later the sun was out!!

There were seven of us there this time.
Didn't bring the blanket I'm knitting because there is a lot of
counting to do and knew I'd mess up!!
So I made some weave-its which are easy to do and still talk. ๐Ÿ™‚

Read some more this afternoon.
You may not believe this but it was too chilly! sitting on the porch
so came back inside to read.

My next project is going to be getting my spice drawer
more organized.
I've ordered 4 oz glass spice jars with shaker tops and plan
on putting the spices in them.
The jars should arrive on Wednesday.

That's all for this post.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks for coming by.

I wish you could send your rain over to my part of the UK!

I think it's a good idea to make something like weave-its and also enjoy a chat. Our library has 'knit and knatter' sessions :)

All the best Jan

That is a beautiful cloud. All of the clouds look illuminated from behind. I'll be interested in seeing your spice jars. I have over a dozen, all in the store jars. I somehow missed your post before this one. The sky is gorgeous!

That is such a strange cloud formation. One of my jobs on my grandparents farms was to clean out the barns. It was humbling. Janice

It's late summer weather, sudden heavy showers and then the sun comes back.

That cloud in the 4th picture is so unusual.
Will you move all your spices into identical jars? I hope you'll show us. One of my cupboard doors has a built-in spice rack behind one door.

Beautiful pictures of the clouds. I think we are on the same brainwaves! I just opened my spice cabinet 30 minutes ago and told myself I am going to get this organized this month. :)

Your skies look so nice. Sounds like quite a downpour! It was cold here for most of the day yesterday!

I love the cloud pictures. Thanks for the encouragement to get back to organizing. I'm afraid I may never catch up with you. Too cool to sit on the porch. Now that's a reminder that winter is not far away. It was near 100 here today.

I'm interested to learn more about your spice drawer project. Hope you will share it with us.
