Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Last Nights Pizza

 Sunrise 6:42

A pretty sunny morning walk.
55 degrees and calm.

The morning moon.

Walked around the lower cemetery and then
up to the other one and walked around there too.
Went over to the long barn and walked around it.

One of the calves has a patch over his eye.
I'll have to ask Farmer Marvin about the little guy.

The next loop I went around was the New Road.
Then walked down the road towards home and back again.
Through town to the ball park, around there and back to the pond.

The Canadian geese came back for a visit.

I was walking past the church parking lot when I saw
a man get out of a car and walked toward the church.
The back door of the car opened and out came a little boy.
He shut the door.
Then the door opened again and his sister came out of the car,
saying to her brother, That wasn't a very gentlemanly thing to do.
It made me smile.
Of all the mean things she could have said to her brother
for closing the door on her she said that.

 😊    🥾    ☀️

Just had to show you this beautiful pizza Ken made
us for supper yesterday.
It tasted as good as it looks.

🍕    🍕

No stitching this morning at the library.
Everyone had things to do and places to go so it was cancelled.

A beautiful day for drying clothes so I got two loads hung out on the line.

So nice to sit on the porch and read a while.
Have to do that while I can.
Fall comes quickly here.

Made more weave-it squares for another row and will sew
it on the blanket later.
That just leaves two more rows to go.
I need 7 more squares of each color.
Have plenty of white but I'm hoping I have enough
of the blue yarn.
It will be close!!!

Eating more tomatoes for supper again.
This time BLT's.

Thank you for visiting.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
HappyK🙂

Hi Karen, beautiful photos! And the pizza Ken made looks delicious! Poor sweet little calf with the patch on its eye.
I am glad the Canada geese returned for a visit.

The pizza looks perfect. Ken is a chef! Does he make many meals? I hope you find out about the eye patch. The pale blue sky with the moon is a lovely shot.

You'll have to let us know about that little cow.
That's a good looking pizza.

Yep, Ken made a great looking Pizza, no doubt it was good. Us retirees can cook sometimes. Also, that was good of a kid not to show real anger. Love your walks. /will be glad when we can ake a few steps on a path or any where right now...

The comment from the little girl to her brother shows the type of parents they have. LOve it.

Thanks for answering about that machine. I never thought of a stapler.

What a gorgeous picture of that distant moon. You are a great photographer. Hopefully the brother will leave the door open for his sister next time. Pizza looked yummy. We had homemade lasagna. Janice

That pizza does look good. What a fun conversation to overhear in the church parking lot. Kind response for sure.

Several of our calves have had bovine pink eye this summer. Wearing a patch over the eye blocks the light and helps the eye heal faster, along with an antibiotic.
I love your picture of the monarch butterfly.
