Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Blankets

Cloudy when I got to town and 67 degrees.
A light drizzle started but only lasted a couple of minutes
and then just cloudy.
Rained all day after I got home.

Went to the library first.
Put a DVD down the slot.
We watched the first season of Accused.
Pretty good show.
It is a British crime show with a different take.
You first see the Accused in a jail cell awaiting the return
of the jury with a verdict.
Then it shows how the person got there.
Each episode is completely different with different people
and all kinds of different crimes.
We plan on watching the other seasons as well.

Here I am walking to the industrial park.

This is the road behind the DG Market
and between it and the industrial park.

Now I'm at the industrial park.

Then walked back to the parking at the pond going up
and down all the side streets.

All the lots now have numbers where the new houses will be built.
If I had to pick a lot I'd pick
number 10 because the pond is right behind it.
Wouldn't want to live here though.
I'm spoiled having lots of land around me and it would be
really hard to have such close neighbors.

John was out walking Prim and I stopped for a chat.
Rebecca was out too but too far away and she didn't even see me.

😊    ☁️    🏘️    🥾

Once again this morning I drove to church for Blanket
for Babies and Seniors.
There were 8 of us there this time.
Numbers have dropped a bit but summer is a busy time for people.
I'm working on two blankets.
Weave-it one for the babies

and knitting one for the Seniors.

Had lunch when I got home and then made
Sweet and Sour Cucumber Salad
which we will have for supper with hamburgers.

My next project is getting all my knitting patterns in order
and started sorting through them this afternoon.
They will all be put into a binder too like the recipes.

Also had time for a little reading.

Thanks so much for visiting.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
HappyK 🙂

You were fortunate to get your walk in before it started to rain all day!

All the best Jan

...there are so many wonderful shades of blue and you are working one of them.

The one for the seniors is so rich looking and beautiful. It has a fall color, too! The new lots have really pretty grass.

I agree, it would be hard to live with neighbors so close after being in the country. I'm going to try your cucumber salad tomorrow. It sounds delicious and I have lots of cucumbers from the garden. Cucumbers are about the only thing that did good this year.

That sounds like an interesting show you are watching. Love the colors on the blankets you are making

Karen, you are such an organized person! Once again, you have given me an idea for another project...putting my crocheting patterns in a binder. Thanks, Friend. xx

We've gotten spoiled with all the land between us and our neighbors. It would be hard now living right next door to someone. Great views from your walk. Happy Friday!
