Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

July Photo-a-day 17

July Photo-a-day Challenge with ChrissyT
Day 17
On A Shelf

๐Ÿ“ท    ๐Ÿ“ท    ๐Ÿ“ท

A foggy morning walk today.
60 degrees and calm.
Started out foggy but the sun came out later.

Walked around both of the cemeteries.

The herd bulls are back in the pasture down by the Drane house.
There used to be 7 black bulls.
Now 3 of the black ones are back with 4 of the new Speckled Park ones.

Had a couple of books to drop off at the library so stopped
at the Jeep, picked up the books and walked to the library.
From there I walked up and down some side streets and
over to the ball park.
Walked around there, a few more side streets and then
back to the pond.

I saw Shelia out running.

Got some house stuff done in the morning.

The sun was out but it was a filtered sun because of the smoke
from the fires in Canada.
Didn't sit on the porch today because it smelled like smoke!!

David and Liz came over this afternoon for birthday cake.
I gave David one of the cards I had made.
We all had a piece of cake and I gave them the rest
of the cake to take home.

Some of you have asked how David was doing in his new job.
He's been there a few weeks now and things are going well.
He not only works with the fork lift but they have
him inside working on a computer also.
He's outside when using the fork lift but in an air conditioned
office when on the computer.
Has gotten lots of praise for the job he's doing.

So that's it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Friday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Karen, your photos are lovely. I especially love seeing the bulls!
As far as the weather goes, last week we here in Canada had extreme heat and humid conditions that the weather experts were saying was due to a heat dome coming from the U.S.
Now you in the U.S. are getting smoke and bad air quality due to our Canadian wildfires! Sigh!
I hope the smoke alleviates and eradicates soon! Ontario, here in Canada is getting it big time right now as well. :(
I hope you have a lovely weekend, dear friend. Please stay safe.
