Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

July Photo Challenge

 I'm joining ChrissyT on the
July Photo-a-Day Challenge

July 1
Outdoors

Standing on my front porch

📷    📷    📷

72 degrees when I walked this morning.
It was cloudy with only a little breeze.
It was a hot morning for here and I did get pretty warm.
I'd much prefer walking in cold weather than hot.
Rather it be 30 than 70.

But still it was great to be out walking.
First walked around both of the cemeteries.
There is a saying of the corn being knee high by fourth of July.
Well today the corn has passed the knee high mark and is
now waist high.

Continued on walking to the ball park and walked around there.
It is cooler there so walked around it a few more times.
Then through town, up and down some side streets and back to the pond.

Thomas was out running laps around the ball park.

😊    🧢    ☁️

Did some more house cleaning.
Moved a few things around in the living room.

Sat out on the porch this afternoon and read.
While out there I moved the porch furniture around too
and gave the porch a good sweeping.

It was sunny and the temperature got up in the mid 80's
but there was a nice breeze.

Hope all is well in your world and you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Lots of trees in your front porch view. Birds probably love the view too. :)

The corn looks so pretty and healthy. It looks like you live in the woods, where is your nearest neighbor?

I'll share this with you because so many years have passed now. Your corn reminded me of something from my childhood. When we were little and visited our village, we children used to sneak into the fields and steal a few ears of corn to eat 🤣 Somehow, they always tasted better than the ones we bought from the shop. Thank you for bringing back such a wonderful memory.

Der Ausblick von der Veranda ist wunderschön. Das Grün der Bäume wirkt so belebend. Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen dort auf der Veranda zu sitzen und zu lesen.

Beautiful views from your front porch! And isn't it something what a small breeze can do in this heat? Stay cool, my friend.

Very pretty view from your front porch! It's warm when I walk in the morning right now although a breeze the last few mornings makes it tolerable.
