Day 16
INSIDE
INSIDE the post office.
Coming in the door.
Inside where all the boxes are.
These mail boxes people rent.
Open 24 hours a day.
Mail is also delivered to your house.
Office closed when I was there this morning but will open promptly at 8:00.

70 degrees this morning, no breeze and a mix of sun and clouds.
A bit hazy starting out.
The sun is trying to pop out and eventually does.
Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Continued over to the DG Market and then back through town
and up and down most of the side streets to the pond.
The three geese family decided to go for a little walk too.
Sheila was out running again and
Anna and her Dad Mark were out walking.

Baked a birthday cake.
Chocolate Cake with chocolate frosting.
I usually bake a cake in a 9 x 13 pan but made a layer cake
this time using 2 9" round pans.
The cake is for David and tomorrow is his birthday.
It ended up being pretty windy which was nice with
the breezes blowing through the house.
We sat out on the front porch for quite a while
this afternoon reading.

...Happy Birthday David and I hope that your new job is going well. The air quality is so poor that I'm stay in side!. Rain on Saturday might help to clean the air.
You have a really nice post office. The orange flowers are so pretty! Wish I could taste that cake.
The cake for David's birthday will no doubt be delicious. The recipe looks simple enough, in fact it sounds like one I make, smaller one, that makes an 8X8.

Was that haze you had from the fires in Canada? We had it bad here in NW Pa yesterday. It even smelled like smoke.

Great photos and the family of 3 made me smile. Today is hubby's birthday also and I have been debating on sheet cake or two layer cake....and wondering how ambitious I am feeling this morning.

Are you aware what the "haze" is all about? We are under an air quality alert due to the fires in Canada. I could even smell the smoke this morning when I stepped outside.
