Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Skies, Walking, Working

A great morning for a walk.
It was 55 degrees, no wind, and a nice mix of sun and clouds.

First walked around both of the cemeteries.

On the way to the cemetery up the hill I noticed these
three deer in the corn field.
Two are pretty easy to see in the picture with the sun on them.
The third you might not able to see.
She is way to the left of the others by the trees.

Went down to the barn by the Drane house
(which is in the picture above)
and there was one bull in the barnyard and it made me
smile to see the hay on his head.
Not much left of his scratching post.

Continued walking all around town and went up behind the
house that we lived in when we were in town.
Sean was out working in his yard.
I think his yard looks like a park!

From there I continued over to the ball park and walked around
that loop and then back to the pond.

I saw Rebecca out walking enjoying the beautiful morning.

Got the bathroom cleaned before we had to leave for a
work day at church with the Fingerprint Ministry.
Only a skeleton crew at first but then later in the
afternoon a good number of people showed up.
Don't have a count of books finished today but will at the end of tomorrow.

Enjoy working at this ministry but nice to be home now and relaxing.
I'll be doing a little reading and a little knitting later,
and of course having my cup of ice cream.
Yes, most evenings I still have my ice cream.
Lately I've been having chocolate chip mint.

It's been a great day and hope yours was too.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hi Karen, what a lovely walk you had! I love all your photos. The bull made me smile, too! :)
Yes, I agree that Sean's yard looks like a park! A beautiful, well-kept one!

Karen, your pictures are amazing. Glad more folks showed up in the afternoon to help work on the Fingerprints books.

I probably would have missed that third deer if you hadn't mentioned it was off to the left.. That bull struck a nice pose for you.
This is the second blog I've read this morning that mentioned ice cream. I've got a huge craving for it and was talking about it the other day.
