Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rainy

A walk with the umbrella this morning.
It was rainy and the temperature was 60 degrees.

Had my usual walk around both of the cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Up and down the main road in town and some of the side streets too.

There were a few periods when the rain stopped which was nice.

Didn't see anyone else out.
Very quiet around town.
I found a penny.

We had planned on going up to Bedford, Pa with the trailer
but it was a rainy day with thunderstorms so we
decided to put it off a day and go tomorrow.
Since we usually go to Walmart on Tuesdays we
just switched days and went to Walmart today.

Didn't get much house cleaning done but at least
I got the sheets washed and put back on the bed.
Had to dry them on the rack today.

Starting reading This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger.
I'm a quarter of the way through it and like it a lot.
Hard for me to put down.

Supper is in the oven right now.
I made Chicken Enchiladas.
I don't know why I don't make this more often,
it's easy to delicious.
My recipe is

That's all I have for today.
Hope you had a wonderful day
and thanks so much for coming by.

I wouldn't mind some rain ... it's very hot in many parts of the UK at the moment.
Happy Monday and good wishes for the coming week.

All the best Jan

No rain here but hot weather is coming our way starting tomorrow. Hot here means in the 80s.

It was raining here when I left for work. It stopped later on and was just dark and gloomy all day long. Chicken enchiladas sound good. I'll have to go check out your recipe.

We got some refreshing rain here in Montreal as well. I love ❤️ the illustration and Bible verse and your rain 🌧 picture is lovely.

We have been having a lot of rain lately. It’s still hot here but raining nonstop! Think tropical sticky weather. BUT I do love a good walk in a light rain. There is something so relaxing about it to me. I do like summer showers.
I haven’t made chicken enchiladas in a long time and I don’t know why I don’t make them more either. They are good and simpler than some recipes! Have a wonderful week.

Karen, the enchiladas sound so good! I've been wanting chicken enchiladas lately. My recipe calls for shredded chicken, sour cream, 1 can Rotel, heat all of that until hot and bubbly. Then fill tortillas with filling, top with cheese and bake. Super easy and I'll probably make them this week.

We finally had a bit of rain. I love enchiladas. I make both beef and chicken ones. Janice

No rain here, but we did get some thunder and dry lightning last Friday, which was different. Your enchiladas look delish.

I hope your trip to Bedford went well. It's still very warm here but showers are apparently on the way.

Hope things settle down so you can make that trip. We are having sun our first couple of days here in Cannon Beach, Oregon but things will get cloudy and rainy the rest of the week. Have a great Tuesday.

Although rain can sometimes cancel our plans, the atmosphere it creates and the coolness it brings often replace the disappointment. Your home looks beautiful in the rain. These days it rains here every afternoon as well, and we could not be more grateful because it helps bring down the heat.
