Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rain in the sun

Walking this morning it was 54 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.

Working on the road.

Walked around town a while and then over to the
industrial park and walked all around in there.
On the way there a big dark cloud came along and before long
I felt the first rain drops.
It ended up raining pretty hard for about a half hour.
But the funny thing was that the sun was shining the whole time.
So I was walking in sun but it was raining.
Hard to tell in the picture but it was pouring down rain.
You might be able to see the rain by looking at the dark trees.
It almost looks like it is snowing.

I was blessed to see this beautiful rainbow which stayed in
the sky for quite a while.

The rain eventually stopped and I dried off by the time I got
back to the Jeep at the pond.

Took this picture of the peony over at the library.

No one else out and about this morning.
When I got back home Ken said it never rained at the house!

Food shopping at Walmart this morning.
Ken gets way more annoyed shopping there than I do.
Especially after being in the Walmart down in LaVale which is so much nicer.
I have a feeling we'll be going down to LaVale next week.
While we we shopping we ran into 4 people that we knew.
3 people from church and Debbie, my knitting friend at the library.

I did some counted cross stitch on the cow picture this afternoon.
Last time I worked on it, I realized that I used the wrong color
on part of it and spent the whole time painstakingly taking it out.
Today I redid that section using the correct color.
Will take a picture of it when it looks like cows.

So ends this days post.
Thanks so much for coming by.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
HappyK 🙂

With feet to take me where I go,
with eyes to see the sunset glow,
With ears to hear what I would know,
Oh God forgive me when I whine.
I'm blessed indeed, the world is mine

What a treat that rainbow is. It is fun to see the rain in the sunshine. We have a pretty decent Wal-Mart with very helpful employees. Enjoy your evening!

What an unusual thing to walk in sun and rain at the same time. The rainbow is beautiful and so is that peony!

What a beautiful rainbow. Also love that peony. No rain expected here until Friday night. Good time to get all of our gardening done. Janice

No rain here today but it started out at 44 this morning and was 79 on my way home from work. I like the poem at the end.
