Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Blue Sky

A sunny morning walk and a bit windy.
The temperature was 62 degrees.

Walked around both of the cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Then all around town in no particular order.

The sky was such a beautiful blue with not a cloud in the sky.

Not that there is ever a lot of traffic around here but even less
today with school closed for the summer.
Didn't see any people walking around but there was
a man fishing at the pond.

😊    🥾    ☀️

Sheet washing day again.
Got the sheets on the line and one more load of laundry.

They were all dried by lunch time!!

Did some house chores during the morning.

Puttered around this afternoon and did some reading.
Reading The High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews.
Just about done and will finish it later.
Pretty good book with lots of turns it in.

That's going to be it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks for stopping by.
HappyK 🙂

Such a beautiful blue sky! It's been cloudy here with rain predicted, but we could use it and the farmers would welcome it.
So pretty to see the grasses by the pond.

The contrast between the green and the blue of the sky is so perfect that they blend together in a truly beautiful way.

I like seeing laundry hanging out on a line. Do you have to iron anything that dries stiff? Or is there always a nice breeze?

a gorgeous intense sky. I love looking at other people's laundry hanging out. Some is so colorful, or unusual designs. I call it drying line art!

I'm longing for blue skies again :) Nothing but gloomy clouds for over a week now. Hope you get more of those skies today :) Happy walking!

There is honestly nothing better than getting sheets dried on the line before lunchtime! That fresh, sun-dried smell is the absolute best. Sounds like you caught the perfect day for a walk, too, that blue sky looks gorgeous. Enjoy the ending of your book tonight!

I can't hang out our laundry here in the summer. Too hot and the sun bleaches them and makes them stiff, no matter how much you try to soften them. Although if you want to sit for 10 minutes, it's usually dry by then. I always forget and leave them on the line for an hour or two and the jeans are so stiff like cardboard.
