Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

As I walked around town this morning I listened to a gentle rain
falling on my umbrella.
I first walked around both of the cemeteries.
Going past the pond I noticed the two geese I saw yesterday now have 7 babies.
Sorry for the poor quality of the picture.

At one point walking around town the rain stopped and I went back to the Jeep and dropped off the umbrella
Continued walking and about a mile away it started raining again.
Didn't bother going back for the umbrella because by the time I got back
I would have been wet anyway so just got a bit wet.
Now instead of listening to the rain on the umbrella I heard in the leaves.

Went around the ball park a couple of times,
through town again and back to the pond.

Nice to see Rebecca out walking and we ran into each other 3 different times.

There was no wind and the temperature was 50 degrees.

 ðŸŒ§    ☁️    🌧    🥾    😊

Today was the mother/daughter luncheon for the ladies of church for Mother's Day and I invited Liz to go with me.
It was held at a restaurant, The Hen House.
There was a small turnout with just about 20 people
but we had a very nice time.
Good food, much laughter, an inspirational devotional,
and a couple of fun games.
Didn't get home till 3:30.

I'm skipping supper tonight because I ate at the restaurant.
I brought Ken home my left overs and he'll have that for supper.

Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Although the weather was a little mixed it sounds a very nice day, and those flowers are a wonderful colour.

All the best Jan

It's been hot here. That's such a nice photo of your pond. Reminds me of a canal in Europe.

I see adult geese at the ponds here, but never any babies. The coyotes may get them. Beautiful flowers!

Oh, there is really nothing like the sound of rain!!! I love gentle rainfall. We had a ton of rain last night and it was way more than gentle. The thunder kept shaking our windows. It was so loud and hard. What a nice day out!!

Beautiful flowers, Karen. It has thankfully been cool here in Montreal so far. I love your photo of the geese.
