Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Day

Another nice walk walk this morning.
55 degrees with lots of sun and just a little breeze.

Started my walk once again walking around both of the cemeteries.

Went down by the Drane house and took a look at the garden.
Volunteers take care of it.

Continued walking all around town, up and down all the side streets
and over to the ball park and around there as well.
Then back to the pond and the end of my walk.

Sheila's car was in the parking lot so she was running
around somewhere but didn't see her.

A little progress is being made on the road they are making.
One end

to the other end.

There are a bunch of pipes and drains off to one side
which have to be put in yet.

Over at the library plants have been put in the big pots in front.

😊    🥾    ☀️

I was at the library this morning to meet the others for some stitching.
5 of us there today.
The new librarian that is taking Emily's place
has been hired at the library and she started today.
Her name is Riley and seems very nice.

Well today I become a year older.
It's my birthday
75 years old.

David and Liz came by this afternoon.
They gave me a lovely card, a small hand craved wooden vase,
and a 4 piece little chocolate birthday day which we all
had a piece of.

Hope you had a wonderful Saturday
and thanks for stopping by.

The good thing about getting older
is if you don't want to do something you can say,
I'm too old to do that!

Happy Birthday, Karen! Those pots look exactly like the ones we bought to put our roses in. Nice and big.
Just so you know, I managed to add code to my blog here on Blogger to redirect to the new WP blog. Easy peasy.

Happy Birthday!!! I am two years older than you. And yes, being old and rusty is a good reason to get out of things you don't want to do!

...Happy Birthday to you, young lady! It's amazing how quickly they can come around. There always seem to be a lot of construction happening in you town. Be well.

Happy 75th Birthday! I don't have a blog so I haven't commented before but I so enjoy reading your blog and looking at all the beautiful photos. We moved to Kentucky two years ago but I still miss western Maryland. You inspire me with your walking journey. Charlene
