Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

🥾 🐄 🪿 🍪

A sunny morning with a few clouds for walking today.
61 degrees.

Walked around the lower cemetery first and passing by the
pond on the way up the hill to the other cemetery I saw the geese.

Went down by the Drane house to take a picture of the bulls.

Then walked over to them.
This guy looks mean but is quite nice and when I put my hand out
he just sniffs it, like a horse would.

Farmer Marvin was driving down the road that way
and stopped to say hi.
I see him most days and every so often he'll stop.
He told me these 5 bulls are herd bulls and will be going to another
pasture in a week or two with the cows.

From there I walked around town up and down all the streets
and over to the ball park and around there before going back
to the pond.

By the end of my walk it was 68 degrees and I was
getting a bit warm.

No one else out walking on this beautiful morning.

😊    🌸    🌤    🥾

Got the sheets and one other load of clothes washed and hung out on the line.

Then I baked some Chocolate Chippers.
On Thursday a couple of people are coming over to see Ken's train layout.
They are going to take a video for their YouTube channel.
It's been a tradition for years for me to bake Chocolate Chippers
whenever anyone comes over to see the trains.
So this batch of cookies is for that.

Got some work done around the house and had time
to sit out on the front porch with Ken or a little while.

Supper tonight is Macaroni and Cheese with some broccoli on the side.
I make it with Velveeta, Mozzarella, and Cheddar cheese.

That's it for this post.
Hope you enjoyed your day and it was a sunny one.
Thanks for coming by.
HappyK😊

Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing
and there’s so much to smile about.

Oh my, the second photo of the geese floating on the water! The reflected clouds in the water make it look like they are floating on clouds! The next to last photo is gorgeous with the sun on the mountains. Ginny

What a wonderfully productive and beautiful day. I love that you braved a face-to-face greeting with that "mean-looking" but sweet herd bull, and getting a chance to chat with Farmer Marvin is always a nice bonus. Your tradition of baking Chocolate Chippers for the train layout visitors is so special, and I’m sure the YouTube crew is going to absolutely love them. That three-cheese mac and cheese sounds like the perfect comforting reward after hitting a fantastic 17,939 steps!

What a wonderful, productive Monday, and wow, nearly 18,000 steps is absolutely amazing! It's so neat that Farmer Marvin stopped to give you the scoop on those herd bulls, and I love that the one fellow was friendly enough to sniff your hand just like a horse. I always aim to have 10,000 steps or more everyday.
