Started out cloudy, a slight breeze and 44 degrees.
Walked around both of the cemeteries.
Didn't go over to see the cows because hay bales were being taken over to the long barn and I didn't want to get in the way.
Stopped at the Jeep and picked up a DVD and then walked to the library and put it down the book drop.
Continued walking all around town and over to the ball park and walked that loop.
Always enjoy seeing what the chickens are up to.
Today they all wanted to be on the old tires.
The short path behind the park.
By the end of my walk the sun was shining brightly.
Another day of not seeing anyone else out walking.
It seems neither rain nor shine will get people out walking lately.
Everyone sure missed a beautiful morning.
☁️ ☀️ 🥾 🐓
A good day for getting some laundry done and out on the line.🧺
Then we went out front and got another tree cut down.
A little nervous cutting this one down because if it went the wrong way it would have landed on the house.
We had ropes tied to trees and as Ken cut, I pulled on a rope and the tree fell exactly where Ken planned.
Years ago my step-dad taught Ken how to cut down a tree to make it fall where you want it too.
I had lots of branches to add to my brush fence which it getting pretty high.
After lunch the wind picked up again and we were glad we got the tree down in the morning.
Tried to sit outside and read this afternoon but it was just a bit too chilly.
Perfect weather for working but not just sitting.
So back inside to read.
Taco Salad's for supper tonight which we will be eating in just a bit.
That's it for today.
Hope you had a happy sunny day.
Thanks for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

Gorgeous captures, Karen. And the chickens are so cute.
Goodness! I too would have been very nervous cutting the tree down ... pleased it did go well.
Your last photograph of the pond and geese is lovely.
All the best Jan
So glad the tree fell the right way. My gramma had a neighbor who had a tree fall on him and he died. It was so sad. Janice
There's quite an art to cut down a tree. I remember watch tree cutters cut down a very tall redwood tree on my neighbors yard. They had to cut in sections. Very interesting and the house or other trees were disturbed.
Practically everyone walks around here - morning, afternoons and there's the after-dinner walkers who walk the whole family plus the dogs. Its sweet! And then there are those who don't and that's fine, too. They might have treadmill inside or go to a gym, ride bikes or some other form of exercise. To each his own.
...with all the winds this years, plenty of trees and limbs have come crashing down!
I am glad everything went well with the tree coming down. What a beautiful looking walk and especially the photo of the little path behind the park.
Supper sounds delicious. Do you menu plan?
The sky and the pond are so beautiful!
Glad the tree cutting went well.
Taco salad sounds good. I need to make that again.
Sounds like good walking weather. Your pictures are beautiful, as always. Glad that all went well with taking the tree down.
The chickens can be so funny. The blue of the sky and water is so beautiful, I had to go back and look at it again. So glad the tree cutting went well! One of my husband's best friends was killed by a falling tree.
Funny chickens, all wanting to crowd onto that tire.
Good that the tree fell where it was supposed to and not on your house!!
The chickens are great, and I like the narrow path behind the park.
It's nice to see the fields and tractors.
Hugs
Fantastic pictures. It does look like a beautiful day. Impressive that the two of you were able to cut the tree down. You two make a good team.
Beautiful collection of photos, I love them all.
You are brave to cut down the tree. I am so glad all went well.
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.
Those chickens are too funny! Glad you got the tree to go exactly where you wanted it to!
Our weather hasn't been good for porch-sitting the past few days. So, I've been reading in the comfort of my recliner. Enjoyed walking with you today, (via your pictures).
Ken must know what he's doing with a chainsaw!
It really was a beautiful morning for your walk. Congrats on felling that tree just right!
Cutting down trees is a tricky business. Glad it went well!
