Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

15 minutes of WIND

50 degrees this morning when I went walking and it was raining and calm.

I first walked over to the ball park and around the loop a couple of times and then up and down the streets in town.
Continued on over to the cemetery.
As I was walking around the cemetery listening to the sound of a gentle rain on my umbrella it all changed.
All of a sudden it got so windy that my umbrella would have blown inside out if I hadn't taken it down.
The sky got pretty dark and I could barely walk it was so windy.
Felt like a mini tornado.
Headed back to the Jeep and by the time I got there the wind was gone and it was back to normal.
Very strange.

All that wind blew the rain away and I went on and finished my walk.

I had to get a new phone today even though I was happy and liked the one I had.
The company merged with another and after May 1 my current phone wouldn't work any more.
It was free but still a hassle to get a new one.
It took 1 1/2 hours in the store before I walked out with a new one.
Then I spent a good part of the afternoon getting used to it and getting it all set.
I'm pretty much used to it now though.

We didn't really need to get anything at Walmart but since it is right by the phone store we ran into Walmart just to get a few things.
Happy to say that the self check outs are back.
They were just gone last week while they change things around.

Didn't really get much of anything done today.  Spent so much time with the new phone!!

Looking forward to some reading and knitting this evening.

Hope you all had a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Great photo!
We had wind like that last night. Bob's out chipping up branches and sticks that came down.
I'm really not a fan of new phones. Hope it's easy to learn!

That wind does sound strange but it can sometimes get really blowy and strong!

Enjoy your new phone.

All the best Jan
