Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunny day

Forgot to include this in my post yesterday from church which I thought rather remarkable.
The oldest person in our church is Harry who had a birthday this past week and is 102 years old.
The youngest person is Remington, a baby born this past week.
Harry moves a bit slow with his walker but still comes to church most weeks and his mind is still sharp.

❤️    ❤️    ❤️

Back to walking in the dark again now that we had the time change.
It was clear, no wind, and 37 degrees.
Sunrise was 7:37 and I had been walking for an hour and 7 minutes by then.

First part of my walk was up and down the main road and side streets under the street lights.
Once it got lighter I walked around the ball park loop and the cemetery on the hill.

I had all my steps in by then so headed back to the Jeep.

Didn't see anyone else out, but maybe there were people out but didn't see any of them in the dark. 🙂

I didn't take any pictures on my walk today but here is one left ofter from the other day of the pond.

   🥾    😊    🌷    🚶‍♀️

The day was a sunny one and the temperature got up to the mid 60's.
Happy I was able to hang sheets outside on the line to dry this time.
Also washed the top blanket and hung that out there too.

Started cleaning windows and got the front door and the living room ones done.
Spent a little time outside.
I got the little raised garden bed out back weeded and ready for a few plants this year.
Already got tomato and radish seeds and a little starter kit to get them started.
Still want to get cucumbers and that's all I'm going to grow this year.
It just too hard getting anything to grow here.

Sat out back on the deck for a little while.
Read more of the Briar Club which I have to finished by Thursday when the book club meets.
Not really liking it all the much.
Having trouble keeping all the characters straight.
Still have to read about half the book.

Supper tonight is hot ham and cheese in burrito shells.

Both of us have sore and scratchy throats.
Hope it doesn't develop into anything!!!

It's been a lovely day and hope you enjoyed yours as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dear Karen, your photo is picturesque and gorgeous!
It's difficult reading a book that you don't really enjoy, I understand this!
Today it is in the 50's Fahrenheit in Montreal today. However, the temperatures will drop and we are supposed to get "severe freezing rain" on Wednesday and Thursday! I have my appointment on Thursday morning for the test in relation to my difficulty swallowing and the coughing.
Please keep me in your prayers, it really means so much to me.

I love a good dark walk. :) My family does not on the other hand like me walking in the dark. :) But I walk in the woods all the time so I am surprised by this fact.
The picture of the pond is beautiful. I also always love reading what you are having for dinner. You give me ideas!!

That sounds so good! What type of shells? Soft or hard? I want to make some and I bet I have the stuff here. Have you seen the tortilla boats? How do you see to walk in the dark? You need one of those caps with a light on it. Take care of yourself! Keep me posted on your health! On Friday I had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. Then the next day we had to call 911 for Phil. Worst birthday weekend I ever had. At least we are both home now.

I forgot - do you use a flashlight or a headlamp? I had a scratchy throat last week and then it dawned on me that it’s my spring allergies. Just about everything is blooming - all our trees have budding leaves plus it’s warm. I just had it for one day. It’s that time of year.

That's quite an age difference. Good for Harry!
I got a little outdoor walk in today too. The sun was out, but so was the wind.
I hope the scratchy throat is just allergies.

102 is quite a milestone. Happy Birthday to Harry.
We almost made it to 70 today. It was beautiful out there but I was inside at work all day.

Hi Karen! How wonderful that God has blessed Harry from your church with a long and healthy life! It's so great that he still comes to church most of the time. Glad you had another nice day. I hope you and Ken don't end up with colds! Your scratchy throats could be spring allergies. Have a good Tuesday. See you again soon.

Popping in from Cambridge, England. I have a wee bit of free time and good internet service here. Hats off to Harry. How incredible! Love your sunny day photo. We might even get sunshine here today!! No time change here until the end of the month. Blessings...

Karen, the pollen is so high here, we've been sniffling for a week! Spring has sprung :) And curious...does anyone show up to the book club and just say "that book was awful?"
