Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cable Stitch

A cloudy morning, 55 degrees, and windy, for walking.
Driving to town I counted 9 deer along my road.
I'm sure there were more but that is all I counted in the dark.
Sunrise 7:02

Walked around the block in town till it was light enough to walk around the cemeteries and walked around both of them.
Made a side trip over to the long barn

to see the cows.

From there I walked through town over to the ball park and walked around there a couple of times.

Then back through town to the Jeep.

The same fisherman was at the pond again.
He's already there when I get to town and still there when I leave.

🙂    ☁️    🥾    🐄

Did the usual work around the house in the morning.

Afternoon I did a little knitting.
Making a simple cable stitch pillow.

I also started another diamond art card of a flower.
Will be finishing that later this evening.

It's been a delightful day.
Hope yours was too and thanks so much for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

It was a good day, thank you.

Your cable stitch is perfect. I’ve never been able to master that stitch, though my mom tried to teach me. All the herds are growing, including the deer.
