Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

ABC Friday

Today for walking the weather was foggy and then a drizzly rain.
Didn't want to ask God for another rainless walk - don't want to be greedy.๐Ÿ™‚
It was 51 degrees and no wind.
First walked to and around the lower cemetery.

Then walked up the hill to the other cemetery and around there a couple of times.

Coming back down the hill it started raining so stopped at the Jeep and picked up my umbrella.

Made my way over to the ball park and walked around that loop two times and then back to the Jeep.
There was just a drizzle by then and I was tired of holding the umbrella so dropped it off in the Jeep and just got a little wet.

Walked down the main road through town,

and back up again.

Over to the Jeep again which ended my walk.

The ice is completely gone off the pond.

I didn't see anyone else out and about this morning.

Today was the kitchens turn to get a good cleaning.
You know the things you do that no one notices.
I didn't get near enough done that I wanted and even worked a little in the afternoon.  It will just have to wait for another day.

Always make a little time for reading and knitting.๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿงถ

Homemade pizza for supper again for this Friday.๐Ÿ•

MY ABC'S

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Sometimes pictures, sometimes just words but it will be something about me.

X was a hard one and couldn't come up with a word that started with an X
so this week X is for eXtra.

When God was handing out joy He gave my heart an EXTRA dose of joy.
Not happiness because that is determined by circumstance but an extra dose of
joy which is deep down in your heart put there by Jesus.
Ken often says I have extra joy that bubbles out of me.

Hope your Friday was a happy one.
Thanks for coming by.

GrannyM - I didn't know what those little yellow blooms were but I looked up Winter Aconites like you thought and that is what they are.

ChrissyT - If you click on the TAB under the header at the top of the blog called WALKING FAQ it should answer your walking questions.  There is also a link at the bottom of that page to a post I wrote some years ago how I got started walking.๐Ÿšถ‍♀️

I imagine waking with an umbrella would be a bit annoying. It's too windy here to even try walking with one, it would just blow inside out. :)

You chose great sentiments for the letter X. We had fog today here all day. More rain coming in later tonight...but will take over snow now. Janice

Beautiful reflections in your last photo.

I think Winter Aconites are so dainty. I bought the bulbs one Fall and they came up the next Spring but each year thereafter less and less came up. The ones you photographed were obviously very happy in that spot.

It was foggy here until afternoon and then we had thunderstorms since then. The snow is nearly melted.
Love your misty photos.
Even more than that, I love your extra dose of joy!

I can just TELL you are a joyful person! I love the church at the end of the street and the pretty pond...a good reflection with just a tiny bit of mist in the distance.
