Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Little Snow

This morning when I went walking it was 24 degrees, cloudy, and a little windy.

Started out walking around both of the cemeteries.
The fisherman were out this morning around the pond and the parking lot was full of their trucks.

Next headed over to the ball park and walked around there a couple of times.
No rain coming down but I did notice a few snow flakes and before long it was more that just a few flakes.
The first time around the loop all the chickens were out in the yard.
The second time around once in started snowing all the chickens went inside their house.

The rest of my walk was walking all over town.
Didn't think I'd be posting any more snow pictures but here are a few from around town.

I had to brush snow off the Jeep when I came home.

Saturday is time to meet the stitching ladies at the library so off I went there not long after breakfast.
Though it was still cold out, the sun had come out and all the snow was gone.
There were 7 of us there today.
I knitted a blue scrubby dish cloth for a friend from church.

Most of the afternoon I spent reading and finished my latest book, It's Not Her by Mary Kubica.
I just couldn't put it down.
A murder mystery with LOTS of twists and turns.

Didn't have our homemade pizza last night for supper so we're having it tonight instead.
It will soon be eating time.

Another great day to be thankful for and thanks so much for visiting.

...the only spring snows that I enjoy are white flowers!

We had similar snow here last night. Like the chickens - I stayed inside. :)
The book sounds like a good one. I just finished one that I think you suggested - The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife. It was so good!

That little bit of snow was probably enjoyable to walk in. We're in the 80's but the forecast calls for a couple days of cold rain from Alaska and snow in higher elevations over 4000 then warm back up again. Winter just trying to intimidate Spring! 😉

It snowed a bit overnight here. Those chickens were smart going back into their coop. Janice

I woke up to a little bit of snow on the car but not the ground. There were a few stray snowflakes throughout the day too but didn't amount to anything.
