Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The Bronco

31 degrees this morning went I walked in town.
It was a cloudy morning and very windy.
With the warm temperatures from yesterday we had quite a lot of melting going on.
Still can't walk around the cemeteries or the ball park though.

Walked all over town, up and down the side streets and just everywhere that was cleared. Most all the side streets are just about ice free now.

Not much going on in town and didn't see anyone.

You can once again tell that there is a pond.

  ☁️    💨    🥾    🙂

Got a slower cooker of chili going first this morning after breakfast.
Then did a bit of house cleaning.

We went out and about and did a few errands.

I'm already making a weave-it blanket, and knitting a couple pillows, and today started another throw blanket.

David came by and asked if Ken would drive him to the dealership to pick up his Bronco!!  His Bronco is fixed, all under warranty and David is very happy!!! 😀 They had it in the shop since last Monday (Feb 2).
David is joining us to have some of that chili in the slow cooker for supper.  Having cornbread with it too.  I didn't make the corn bread.  I've tried some recipes but it never turns out that great.
After supper we are going to play Mexican Train.

Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.
Thanks for coming by.

I know you will have fun. I have played Mexican Train, but that was long ago. The return of the pond!

It's nice to see the pond again.
You had a great day. Chili and corn bread is always good. I use a jiffy mix to make it.
Glad the Bronco is back and even better that it was under warranty.

How nice to see the pond again. Our river is still frozen on the edges. The Coast Guard cuts the middle for the freighters to pass by so it never freezes totally. Glad the Bronco is fixed. Chili sounded good. I usually buy the cornbread mix and add a can of cream style corn to it. Janice
