More snow today and no where to walk safely in town again so another day walking inside.
The library was closed so there was no Stitching today either.
A look out my kitchen window this morning while I washed the breakfast dishes.
Since I would have been knitting at the library I knitted a bit this morning!
Ken made us Nachos for lunch.
Many months ago now I mentioned I'd like to learn to sew and bought a Brother sewing machine at Walmart.
I've been putting it off because I felt a bit intimidated by the whole thing.
Well today was the day I overcame that and gave it a try.
I got out the machine and learned about all the parts and got it threaded and ready to use.
I had a few scrapes of material and practiced sewing pieces together and trying to make straight stitches.
Quite pleased that I finally made a start. 🧵 🪡
I found a website that shows how to make some simple things.
My next sewing session will be trying to actual make something.
Wish me luck!
That about took care of my day.
Thanks for coming by.
Hope you had a wonderful day.

Certainly is a white, snowy world as you look out of your kitchen window.
I do wish you luck with your sewing.
All the best Jan
Your weather is a lot like ours.
Way to go overcoming your fear of your sewing machine. I'm sure you'll have it mastered in no time. Can't wait to see what you make for your first project.
That's awesome. I have confidence you can do anything you put your mind, to Karen.
We're having the same kind of weather.
Glad you got started on the sewing machine. I know we'll be seeing some great things!
Glad you were able to get started with your sewing adventure!
Good for you for pulling out the machine! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday.
I absolutely love your photo, Karen! Seeing the bird feeders and the snow is so soothing. And I agree, it is great you are taking out the machine!
I remember getting a sewing machine and actually taking a couple of night school classes. Unfortunately I never got to enjoy it so for years I kept my machine for small projects or ( with 3 boys) mending. I hope you'll get comfortable with it and have fun.
