Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Yarn and boots

 A cloudy morning for walking.
24 degrees with a few snow flurries flying around.
Not much of a wind.

Walked all around town, the ball park, and both of the cemeteries.
There was no school so it was very quite around town again.

The pond is frozen.

Noticed a woodpecker made quite a hole in this tree by the ball park.

Didn't see anyone else around.

☁️    🥾    🙂

We drove down to Lavale today.
First went to a shoe store where I always find what I'm looking for.
Today got two pair of boots to wear to church during the winter.

Next went to check out the mall.
Haven't been there in years!!
Just a few people there.

Ended up at the Walmart down there which is about double the
size of the one we go to nearer our house.
They had some of the Puzzle yarn I like so got some skeins of that.
It was Karen day today, Ken didn't get anything.

I finished the Sophie scarf and posted it and the pattern
on my other blog

Just popped some veggies and sausage in the oven to roast
so that will be supper in just a little while.

Today zoomed right by.
I washed the sheets this morning and still haven't put them back on the bed.

Hope all is well with you and thanks for stopping by.

I really like the Puzzle yarn also. It's so easy to work with. I'm making a cowl for one of my granddaughters with a skein of it.

...there must be a pileated woodpecker in the neighborhood.

I like your shoe/boot purchases. Pretty yarn too.
The scarf turned out really nice.
Guess what we're having for supper? Roasted sausage and veggies!

Hi Karen! I'm glad you found some boots! I will go over to your other blog and look at your Sophie scarf! I made one for our daughter and I liked it! Happy December!
