Happy Sunday
I don't have any sunrises from this week
because I couldn't go walking.
This sunrise is from a few years ago at Deep Creek Lake
about 10 miles down the road from town.
I think it must be one of the prettiest I've ever seen.
We sang it at church this morning.
🎶 Infant, Holy, Infant Lowly 🎶
It's a Polish song translated by Edith M G Reed
1. Infant holy, infant lowly,
for His bed a cattle stall;
oxen lowing, little knowing
Christ, the babe, is Lord of all.
Swift are winging angels singing,
noels ringing, tidings bringing:
Christ the babe is Lord of all!
Christ the babe is Lord of all!
2. Flocks were sleeping, shepherds keeping
vigil till the morning new
saw the glory, heard the story,
tidings of the gospel true.
Thus rejoicing, free from sorrow,
praises voicing, greet the morrow:
Christ the babe was born for you;
Christ the babe was born for you.
📖 Luke 2:12 📖
And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.
A Blessed Sunday to you.

Oh wow, that sunrise is gorgeous.
I've never heard that Christmas song before.
Gorgeous photo, Karen. I took a walk today and got some photos to share in future blog posts. It is very cold 🥶 and sunny.
We are expecting freezing 🥶 rain here in Montreal and I will be staying in until it is safe for me to get out. I want to make sure the city has a chance to put down gravel or salt. Not only that, we could lose power.
... and it was a beautiful sunrise.
All the best Jan
...that's a memorable sunrise!
