Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Number 2 puzzle done

Cloudy this morning for walking.
Started out calm and got very windy as I walked.
A warm morning at 38 degrees.

Walked all around town with a stop at the post office to
mail off the Christmas cards.
Then to the library to put a couple more DVD's down the drop.

Continued walking to the ball park and around there
and around one of the cemeteries.

Walked down to the ponds edge and around it.
The ice was strong enough to hold me.
Only stayed at the very edge though.

Another quiet morning without seeing anyone.
I didn't see a skunk but I sure smelled it.

☁️    ๐Ÿ’จ    ๐Ÿฆจ    ๐Ÿ™‚

Did another load of laundry. ๐Ÿงบ
Have to keep up with it when I can't hang it out on the line
because I can only do one load a day and don't want to get behind.
Other routine housework got done too.

We made a trip to the dump to get rid of our garbage and then
stopped at the library for more DVD's.
Boy we'd be lost without the library here in town!!

We finished the Thanksgiving Parade puzzle. ๐Ÿงฉ

In the next day or two we'll start another.

This is the next throw I'm knitting. ๐Ÿงถ
This one is for Dale, a man at church.
It's the same pattern as the one for Liz which you can see

Started raining but the temperature is on the way down
and now it is snowing.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a wonderful day.,

That wind was something else today, wasn't it? It hasn't started snowing here yet but if you have it, I am sure it will make it's way here soon. Have a great evening. Love the colors in the throw that you are working on.

Hi Karen, your photos are beautiful! And the jigsaw puzzle looks like a fun one! I really like your throw.

It's been very cold here too and the river by us has lots of ice on it. The pond looks pretty!
Your library must have a really good supply of DVD's. Ours doesn't have a lot.
I like your yarn choice for the next throw.

Do people ice skate on that pond when it's frozen? I can't remember if you've said before or not. That's another nice looking throw.

Hello! It is cold here in Maryland too! I have been walking inside, but it doesn't have the same effect, you know? Your photos are beautiful, and the puzzle? Impressive! Have a cozy evening, my friend.

That puzzle would have been too difficult for me. Sure looks good all finished. We couldn't walk this morning due to torrential rain. It continues to fall and on the news there were flood warnings for low lying areas. Hope it stops soon.

Hi Karen! I love the colors of the throw blanket that you are making for the man at church! I really love that puzzle you finished. I need to start a puzzle because I really enjoy doing them. Yes, you and Ken really do make good use of your library. I mostly use our library to check out Kindle books and audiobooks. Have a good Thursday! See you then!

The throw does look rather manly! I'm so glad you did not walk way out and fall into the ice!

You were brave walking on the ice, even if it was the edge. You are a prolific knitter, do you ever get bored or tired of it?

Libraries are so important. We try to visit ours once or twice a month. Such an amazing resource. I have a couple of jigsaw puzzles myself that I might get out :)

The marsh here has ice on it now and there are ice fishermen in the bay now setting up shanties. No ice to be found on the river here yet. Another fine throw you are knitting and love that parade puzzle. Janice

It's been cold and foggy here mornings and evenings. Sunny in the day but then by sunset the tule fog comes in and envelopes us. You can't see past 300 yards or less in some areas.

I'm behind on my puzzles, haven't worked one is a while. Your picture kinda gave me the bug, maybe I'll start one today.!!

You always manage to turn an ordinary day into something calm and steady. I love how you fold small routines into a kind of rhythm — cards mailed, books returned, a puzzle finished, a new project on the needles. It all feels very grounded.

The shift from rain to snow sounds like real winter settling in again. Is it snowy todat too?

Wishing you fine new day๐Ÿ’•
