Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Inside walk again

I thought there would be icy places around town
so didn't go for my walk.
Got my steps in the basement again.
I'll give town a try tomorrow for walking.

I got another load of laundry ๐Ÿงบ done and some cleaning.

We went to the library to get a book I had on reserve.
The 13th Gift by Joanne Huist Smith.
Glad it finally came in because it is the book club book
and the meeting is next Thursday.

Knitted on Liz's throw and I'm getting down to the end.
It should be finished in a day or two.

Started on the next jigsaw puzzle.
It is the Thanksgiving parade one.

We were both in the mood for pizza today so having that for supper.
Had some dough in the freezer from last week.
I make two doughs at a time. ๐Ÿ•

That's going to be it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.

Mari - Yes, put yesterdays chili in the freezer.

GrannyM - No don't have an island in the kitchen.  It's a counter high table.  I didn't want an island. A table I can move around. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's so good that, when necessary, you can get your walking done indoors.
Pleased that Liz's throw will soon be finished.
Enjoy your jigsaw puzzle - and your pizza :)

All the best Jan

Lovely kitchen, dear Karen! Very warming and comfortable! On days that it is difficult for me to walk outside (such as extremely hot conditions or icy conditions), I get my walks in a shopping mall. Walking is good, and it doesn't matter where.
Thank you so much for sharing.

It's icy here too.
I love your kitchen and the table is such a good idea.

Love your kitchen. Thanks for sharing a picture of it. That's a great idea with the counter height table

I love peeking into people's kitchens, and yours is beautiful! It is a great idea to use a table instead of an island. It is the perfect shape and serves the same purpose. Plus can be moved when needed for other things!

I really like your cozy kitchen. I think we are supposed to have more snow tonight but only a coating to an inch.

Thanks for answering my question about the "island" that is really a table. What a good idea.
I hope tomorrow you can get back to walking outside.

I also love your kitchen...so neat and clean looking. Hope you can get back to your outdoor walks soon, but in the mean time it is wonderful to have a nice indoor place to walk.

I agree, the table idea is such a good idea rather than a fixed island. Your blog is lovely. I'm trying to walk more too.

No man is an island. An island is a table top in the kitchen.

God bless.

Walking indoors is a great idea when the weather isn't cooperating. Laundry- oy ve, does that ever stop? Have a great weekend, and I hope it warms up enough for your walks.

We're having great puzzle working days here too. Cold rainy days with lots of wind. brrrr It's great you have a place to walk inside and stay out the bad weather. PIZZA, that sounds so good.

On such days, walking inside is right.
