Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Home Day

With all the snow and ice wasn't sure how walking in town
would be this morning so I stayed home and walked inside.
 ๐ŸŒจ️
The book club meeting was cancelled too, so just stayed home all day.
☃️
David took Japhy and Natalia back to the airport this morning and
they stopped by to say good-bye.✈️
Sure was nice to see Japhy again and to meet Natalia.
They are going back to South Carolina and Natalia
will stay there another week before going back to Hawaii.

I had a nice day puttering around the house.
Read๐Ÿ“š
Knitted๐Ÿงถ
Started the next puzzle.๐Ÿงฉ
Watched the snow fall
and the birds at the feeder.
Can now add Goldfinches to the list of birds that come by.

A cold snowy day seemed like a good one to have our pizza
a day early so we'll be having that for supper.๐Ÿ•

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving the kind comments.
Hope your day is fantastic.
HappyK ๐Ÿ’•

Ann - No skating is allowed on the pond.  Wish there was because I would be skating.⛸️
Diane - No, don't get tired or bored of knitting. Have so many people I want to knit things for, I'll be busy the rest of my life!!! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿงถ

Dear Karen, I love the Scripture and illustration. I stayed in today as well, we have a blizzard here in Montreal with lots of snow! It is very pretty! I will see if I can get out tomorrow, I do miss my walks.
And I would love to take a few photos as well. :)

I'm a fan of puttering around days. It's cold here, but still have gotten in lots of errands and a great visit to see a gingerbread exhibit. Blog post to come. Keep cozy and thanks for visiting Buttercupland.

I'm glad you got to spend that time with Japhy and Natalia.
We had a stay home day yesterday because of snow and ice, today we ran lots of errands.
I like that word - puttering! It's a good thing to have a puttering around day.

I love home days! Especially when snow is falling outside. I understand puttering very well! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Too bad there's no skating but I suppose it's a safety thing.
Sounds like you had a good day even though you weren't able to get out.

Hello,
I walked inside too, it was too darn windy and cold to be outside.
I am glad your grandson came for a visit.
I enjoy watching the birds outside at the feeder.
Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend.

Like your knitting, I do not get bored of stitching. It is very easy watching tv at night while doing it. It is very icy here too. Had to take my time getting in and out of the car and getting to the mailbox. Too cold for salt now as well. UGH Janice

How nice that Japhy and Natalia stopped in to say goodbye. Your stay at home and putter day sounded productive and peaceful. :-)

I know how excited I would be if I saw a Goldfinch at one of our feeders. Watching birds is an interesting thing to do. Each day brings the regulars and sometimes some surprises.

Sounds like you had a lovely wintery day inside today. We are supposed to get a good deal more snow starting tomorrow afternoon. Love the Psalm at the end of your post today. One last thing...I read your reply to Diane's comment "I have so many people I want to knit things for, I'll be busy the rest of my life!!!" Some people could say that, and it be an exaggeration but when you say it, I truly believe it. You are one of the most generous hearted people I know, Karen. xx
