Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

A cloudy morning today but a beautiful sunrise to start the day.

The temperature was 27 degrees but no wind at all!
Sunrise 7:05
It's already getting darker when I start walking
so walk all around town first under the street lights.

Then it was around the ball park and both of the cemeteries too.

Walking up to the cemetery I saw a big white square thing
on the side of the road and wondered what it could be.

When I got there I saw that it was a solid piece of styrofoam.
The wind must have blown it there!!

Heard a helicopter and looked up.

Rebecca was out walking this morning.
Nice to finally see another walker.

Walking past the fire house the fire alarm went off 6 times.
I tell you, when you're standing right next to it, it is LOUD!
I saw a couple people run to the fire house and a couple cars too.
The garage doors opened but no fire truck came out.
It was a false alarm.
But it was good to see how fast they responded!

Shopping day at Walmart.
We had quite a haul this week because we don't want to go
shopping the week of Thanksgiving.

We bought a new bird feeder and some suet to put
out for the birds.
I also got some yarn.
Our Walmart doesn't have much in the way of selection but they
did have some of the Premier Puzzle yarn that I really like
so bought 2 skeins.
I getting home I wished I had gotten a few more.

Didn't finish Dorothy's scarf last night but did today.
You can see it Here if you care to.
With that done I can now concentrate on getting
Kim's throw done.

That's all I've got for today.
Hope you all had a great day and
Thanks for stopping by.

The scarf is so pretty, with winter colors of blue and white. You must have been freezing this morning! The sunrise is gorgeous, with the tree making it even better,

What a gorgeous sunrise. We need to make a Walmart trip but I have been putting it off until everyone tells me what they are bringing to dinner. I know it will be crowded by the time I make up my mind to go. Have a lovely rest of the week!

Amazing sunrise you captured. The scarf turned out very nice. Smart to get shopping done before Thanksgiving week.

I really like that scarf, Karen. Great colors. Yes, the stores can get crowded Thanksgiving week, so it's good that you got all of your shopping done! See you again tomorrow!

The scarf you made for Kim is so pretty. The blue and white looks good together.
I hope the birds find your new feeder quickly. We hung a suet holder close to the sunroom window so we could watch the birds when they come to eat. Either they don't like the suet or they don't like us a few feet away because so far not many have come.

Your sunrise photo is stunning, a beautiful sight to see.
We still have some Thanksgiving shopping to do.
Your birds will be happy.
Take care, enjoy your day!

Once when I was taking my mom to breakfast in her small town, we were walking past the firehouse and the alarm went off. Enough to ruin your ears forever it was that loud. My mom lives 4 blocks away from it and you can hear it form her house too. The photo att eh beginning of your post is pretty and yes the days are shorter now. Dark in the morning and night for me getting home. UGH Janice
