Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sophie Scarf

This morning as I walked there was a mix of sun and clouds
once the sun came up.
No wind to speak of but it was pretty chilly at 16 degrees.
No, I wasn't cold because I had 5 layers of clothing on
and I wasn't standing still but moving. 😊

Counted 5 deer on my way to town in the field.

I walked through town and passed the DG Market.

Continued walking down the main road to the curve in the road
and walked up the the farm driveway on the right a little way
and then back though town.

Walked out the other end of town and walked toward home
before turning around and walking back to town again.
Stayed on the main road for all of my walk because
the side streets looked like this.

Didn't see anyone else out and about.

🌤    🦌    😊

Stitching morning at the library with the ladies.
7 of us there this time.
I knitted on Liz's throw.
A couple of the ladies are making a
Sophie Neck Scarf.
I got the pattern and started knitting one this afternoon.
You start with only 6 stitches on the needle and
increase stitches till half done and then decrease for the other half.
It is easy and fun to knit.
This is what I've done so far.

Got this picture off the internet to show what it looks like finished.

That's it for today.
Hope your Saturday was a happy one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Would love to find that pattern. It looks like garter stitch.

What a unique scarf. I like the way it tapers and I really like the soft pinks.

I could knit that. Is it just garter stitch and how long is I when finished.
I don't think I would have walked the side streets either, they look a little treacherous.

Looks like a fun new scarf to knit! We enjoyed a great Saturday with family. The girls shopped on Main street for small town local shopping. We made purchases in a few of the shops we enjoy. Hope you have a great Sunday and the beginning of Advent!
