Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baking, Puzzles, and Yarn

Pretty warm this morning at 46 degrees and no wind.
It was supposed to start raining at 7:00.
At 7:05 I felt the first few drops.
I asked God to please hold off the rain till my walk was over.
Felt no more rain drops till I was a 1/2 block from the Jeep.
How awesome is that!!!

Walked all around town with a stop at the library to drop off a book.
Continued over to the DG Market.
Then around the ball park loop and both cemeteries.

Nice to see the chickens out roaming around their yard.

Didn't see anyone out walking but Bill was out working around town
so stopped and talked to him.
Most mornings the man driving the truck
who drops off the mail bags
at the post office waves and gives me a toot.
He was out the post office today when I walked by so
went over to say hi in person.

The people who live across the street from the lower cemetery
just had their driveway paved.

☁️    😀    🐓

This morning I baked Pumpkin Bread.
Like this recipe because it makes three regular size loaves
or 7 mini loaves.
This time I made 3.
Got the recipe from my friend Jill many years ago.

Worked on the puzzle some today.

Want to get it done so we can start on one of the new ones
we bought for this year.
Planning on doing the Thanksgiving one first

This is the yarn I purchased to make the next throw.
The color is called Kickball.
Don't know how they came up with that name!!

Made Stuffed Peppers for supper.
In the oven now and we'll be eating in just a little while.

That's going to be all for today.
Hope you had an enjoyable Tuesday.
Thanks for coming by.

I like those puzzles. Thats a puzzling name for the color of that yarn. It is pretty though.

Kickball is an unusual name for a colour ... but it looks nice.

All the best Jan

That was a dark sky! Glad God answered that prayer to hold the rain off.
I like the color of your new yarn; it is an unusual name!
I think that pumpkin bread recipe is the same one I use. I like that it makes 3 loaves - nice to freeze or give away.

My favorite puzzle is the one you are working on now. I love the colorful row houses and trees. The return of the chickens! They always make me smile. Chickens are smart!

Hi Karen! Yes, it is puzzle time. I think that I will start a new one soon! That's a nice, neat looking house that got the new driveway. My husband would love a big garage like that one! Hope you have a good Wednesday! See you again soon.
