LaVale for the day

It rained all night and was supposed to stop by 6:00 but

it was still raining when I walked.

Just a misty drizzly rain.

Had my umbrella up but it was a bit windy and after

fighting with the umbrella, when I went past the Jeep dropped it off.

It was 58 degrees and never did get very light.

Walked all over town, both cemeteries and the ball park.

As you would expect didn't see anyone else out.

This tree had half of it cut away to clear the wires.

A rainy walk but every walk is a good walk.🙂🥾

Not long after I got back from walking it cleared up.

We drove down to La Vale for the day and went in a few stores.

Heard there was a new craft store where the old Joanne's was and

went to check it out.

Was supposed to be open at 10:00, 10:30 it still wasn't open.

Looked in the window and doesn't look like I missed much.

That was disappointing.

Went to Gabe's and we both got orange hooded quilted sweat shirts.

Good for my walks and good for in the woods so the hunters will see us.

While waiting in line we started talking to a couple in front of us.

Then when we were in Kohl's they were behind us in line.

We all had a good laugh over it.

We were next in line when a lady who had just purchased something

got a coupon for 20% off and she just came over and gave it to us.

That was so nice.

We stopped in at Wendy's and had a spicy chicken sandwich.

Looked in a couple more stores and then headed back home.

It was a nice sunny day in the 50's.

I finished reading Shadow of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth.

So very sad and depressing.

It was one of the saddest books I've ever read!

I must read some happy book next.

Jeannette - Yes, I bring pepper spray with me but never have had to used it in all the years I've been walking. :)
