Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A cool windy day

It rained over night but stopped by morning.
I left a little bit later and started walking a little after 7:00.
Nice that I didn't walk mostly in the dark.
Sunrise 7:33
It was 45 degrees, cloudy and very windy.
The clouds were racing across the sky and eventually
blew away all the clouds.

It was light enough that I could start walking around the cemeteries first.

Then it was over to the ball park and around that loop a couple of times.

Stopped back at the Jeep to pick up a book and then over
to the library to put it down the book drop.

Walked a bit around town till I got all my steps in.

This is the kind of Halloween decoration I like to see instead of
the skeletons and scary things.

Didn't see anyone else out walking on this nice crisp Fall day.

💨    🎃    🌤    🍁

I had to go out back numerous times to untangle the sheets on the line
because of the wind but they dried pretty fast.
I washed the kitchen floor and did a few other house chores.

Like I do most afternoons I read and knitted.
My mom used to knit in the afternoons and I often think
of her when I knit.

Hope you all enjoyed this Monday.
As always thanks for stopping by.

I have been enjoying the purple and orange lights of Halloween displays on my morning drives to work. Cute Halloween house. Janice

Oh there are 2 houses in my neighborhood who seem to be trying to outdo themselves on the ghoulish decorations. I remember the not decorations my mom put up were 3 cardboard cutouts - 2 jack-o’-lantern’s and a witch. She scotch- taped them to the picture window of our living room and we kids thought that was such a big deal. Oh and a moveable cardboard skeleton, I still have from my childhood.
Everything back then was so much simpler.

I prefer more traditional fall decorations than the goulish, too. What a beautiful fall walk you had today. Enjoy your evening.

Hi Karen, it was a cool and rainy day here in Montreal as well! Rain makes for some stunning photos! :)
I think it is so sweet that you think of your mom when you knit.

I always decorate for fall, that way it carries me through November :) No Halloween specific things.
