Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Town this morning was like a ghost town.
Didn't see anyone around and only a handful of cars.
Seemed like a Sunday morning.
The temperature was 58 degrees and cloudy.
Sunrise was 7:10

Walked through town and over to the DG Market.
Across the road and up about 1/2 block is the
Rolling Pin Deli and Bakery.
They make fresh donuts on Saturdays and it sure smelled good around there.

Continued back through town,

and over to the ball park and around there a couple of times.
I like walking on the pine tree needles, they make a nice cushion.

Then I went to the cemeteries and walked around both of them.

Back down to the parking lot, the Jeep and home again.

🍁    ☁️    🥾    🍂

Met the ladies at the library for another morning of stitching.
7 of us there this time.
Debbie gave me a pattern for another knitted blanket.
Mickie also gave me a pattern - this one for knitted wrist warmers.
It is like gloves with just the thumb, the finger part is open.

Today I made some weave-its.
Using a variegated blue yarn for another pillow.
This one will be 16 x 16 and will take 32 weave-it squares.

We had a rainy afternoon so still haven't been able to paint
those pumpkins!!

Hope you all had a great Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Rolling pin deli and bakery, I like that name. I can remember working at the store and what it smelled like outside in the morning.
I like the color of those weave it squares. Those will make a good pillow cover.

It's been a great Saturday so far! A tad rainy, but we've really needed the rain, so it was welcomed. All of your squares are so nice, Karen. Were they all made from that one skein of yarn?

...I'm just back from the Adirondacks and the white pines were carpeting the ground!

Sorry to read that you had a rainy afternoon so still haven't been able to paint the pumpkins ... hopefully you'll get the opportunity soon.

All the best Jan
