Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

It was a bit chilly this morning at 43 degrees.
I even saw a light frost in places but
beautiful walking weather.
Sun wasn't up yet when I first got to town but
it wasn't long before the sun was shining.

The morning moon.

Walked all around town first with a stop at the library
to put a book down the book drop.

Then walked around both of the cemeteries.

Saw a big dumpster getting dropped off at the white house
across from the pond and next to the doctors office.
Then saw a construction truck pull up.
Looks like the inside of the house is going to get renovated.

Didn't see anyone else out walking this morning.

I took this picture at the start of my walk,

and this one at the end of it.

Sunrise today was 6:52 and sunset is 7:37

☀️    🥾    ☀️

Sheets were out on the line drying at 9:15.
Got started on this weeks house cleaning jobs.

Ordered the canary yellow color I ran out of for the
temperature blanket I'm knitting.
Should be here in a couple of days and then I can
get caught up knitting on that.
In the meantime I have a couple other knitting projects
I've been working on.

It's been a nice sunny day in the mid 60's.
I sat out on the porch and read for a while.
The porch sitting days are numbered so have to get out
there when I can.

That's it for today.
Hope you had a great Monday.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love the photo of the mist over the pond, with the one lone bench in the foreground!

Those pictures at the pond are beautiful. I enjoy watching the fog rise.

Beautiful photos of the pond. Chilly here too, this morning. Nothing like sheets dried on the line. Mine go out on the line tomorrow :)

I didn't feel well this morning so postponed my walk until the afternoon. Many people in the park! School was out and there were also lots of children. Everyone wants to take advantage of these last days of summer.

Such pretty scenes from your walk today. It started very cool here too but made it to 64. A lovely day!
