Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Mailbox at the library

54 degrees this morning with a mix of clouds and sun.
No wind to speak of.
Sunrise 7:11

Walked around town first with a stop to put a couple of DVD's down the drop.
Library has a fun new mailbox.

Continued walking around town and back to the pond and then around
the cemetery on the hill.
Made a detour over to the long barn to see the cows.
I got them all mowing quite loudly as I walked by.

Next walked over to the ball park and around there a couple of times.
Then back again to the pond, passed it up and went around the other cemetery.

John was out waling Prim and saw one other man walking his dog too.
Bill was at the ball park emptying all the trash cans.

☁️    🌤    🐄    🥾   🍁

I was making a big batch of pancakes for breakfast when David stopped by
so he stayed for breakfast and ate pancakes with us. 🙂 🥞

Got a late start this morning on cleaning, but did get the sheets
washed out on the line and vacuumed.

Started painting the pumpkins but didn't like the spray paint.
I'm going to have to get some regular paint.
Maybe I can find it cheaper somewhere.

Finished reading The Curious Inheritance of Blakely House
 by Joanna Davidson Politano.
An unusual book but one I really enjoyed and couldn't put down.
In 1901 Sydney Forrester receives an unusual inheritance
from a uncle she has never seen.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Monday was a happy one.

That's a cute mailbox and an even cute cow!
I hope you can find some cheap paint for the pumpkins. I can't wait to see what you are doing!
That book sounds really good - I may get it on my Kindle.

That calf is so adorable. It looks as if it was posing for you. 🙂 What a bummer that the spray paint didn't work out. I'm looking forward to seeing your project!
